What is a
Dental Implant
A
dental
implant is a titanium tooth root
that is screwed in to the jaw bone. After awhile the bone bonds
with the titanium and creates a secure foundation. Then an
artificial tooth crown in placed on top of the implant. Dental
implants can be used to replace a signal tooth or multiple
teeth.
Types of Dental
Implants
There are two
main types of tooth implants
-
Endosteal - This is where a
hole is drilled into the jaw bone and the implant is
placed in where it will fuse with the bone.
After it is heal an artificial tooth is placed on
top
-
Subperiosteal -
This used when there is not enough jawbone to hold
an endosteal implant. Instead the implant
fits over the remaining jawbone and screwed into
place.

dental implant is how they look it is
very hard to tell them apart from natural
teeth. Implants are very comfortable you will be able
to eat whatever you want without fear of them falling
out. The success rate of implants is very high they
have proven to be very reliable.
